What is a Fringe Festival
Fringe Festivals began in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1947. There were a group of performance artists who were not invited to partake in the Edinburgh International Festival. The groups decided to instead perform outside of the festival, on the 'fringe'. Today, fringe festivals take place all over, celebrating and elevating the preforming arts.
